Ntengwe for Community Development is a local movement towards creating a better tomorrow for our communities
We offer humanitarian and socioeconomic development programs to poor and marginalized communities to help people rebuild their lives. We work on long-term projects with children, women, youth and the communities to shape a better future for themselves and we advocate for policy change toward reducing poverty and improving the lives of the most vulnerable.
All human beings are of equal value and have tremendous potential to work their way out of poverty. Through the right environment, support and training the hidden potentials in the poor can
Working in partnership with all sectors is at the heart of everything we do. We work in collaboration with other organizations, governments, non-profits and a variety of local and international partners to alleviate inequalities and persistent poverty that threaten both social and business outcomes. In partnership, we create breakthrough solutions to drive economic development and sustainable impact for the most marginalized children, women, youth and communities.
Our experienced team are hard at work to creating lasting change in the lives of children, women, youth and our communities.
The Ntengwe for Community Development Board oversees our strategy and programs. Our board members provide insights and expertise. They are leaders in their field in children’s rights, healthcare, strategy and finance. Our executive team leads our programs to deliver on our ambitious objectives.
Ntengwe for Community Development believes in today’s community for a better tomorrow. We give children, young people, women and communities a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn, grow and be protected from harm.
We are committed to being fully accountable and transparent to children, women and the communities we work in, our funding partners. We are upfront about what we do and how we do it. It matters to us too. Because only by spending every cent wisely can we be sure that we are changing the biggest number of lives
As a non-government organization we embrace the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), adopted by the United Nations General Assembly, signalling that the world was “all in” on the 2030 Agenda. Since then we have mobilized multi-stakeholder initiatives to push the SDGs forward. With our Ntengwe staff, volunteers and supporters doing so much in our districts, we don’t think poverty, human rights violations and inequality stands much of a chance.
